50 / 50 Program
The Village will pay half the cost to plant a tree in the parkway. Your tree will be balled in burlap, guaranteed for one year, and planted by the Public Works Department. Trees will be planted in the fall. Trees will be planted in the parkway and cannot be planted on private property. Watch your tree next summer and, if you notice any problems, call us so we can have the tree examined before the guarantee expires.
Research Resources
You may wish to do some research before selecting a tree for your parkway. Consult the list of trees available this year and check with the Arbor Day - of the National Foundation and Morton Arboretum to see if they would be a good addition to your parkway. Please consult the new tree care guide for instructions to take care of the new tree.
